I am a huge grapefruit fan. Bitterly sweet, soft pink nectar, what’s not to love? This is my own creation. I was going to follow a recipe for gin and vermouth with grapefruit juice, but realized I was out of gin. Luckily this wasn’t the end of a tragedy movie, I had vodka. I put in a little contreau to sweeten it a bit and out came my new favorite drink! Enjoy!
- ¼ cup vodka
- ¼ cup fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 tbs contreau
- In a cocktail shaker combine ¼ cup each of vodka and grapefruit juice, 1 tablespoon contreau and a little crushed ice. Cover the container, shake the mixture well, and strain it into a stemmed glass over ice cubes. Makes 1 drink.
